I received my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Stony Brook University on Aug. 2021, where my advisor was professor Samir R. Das. I also worked closely with professor Dimitris Samaras and professor Minh Hoai. I was a member of the Wireless Networking and Systems (Wings) Lab and WPhD (Women in Ph.D.) group. I am also with Intelibs, Inc. as a Vice President, where I oversee the design and development of products and projects in the areas of in-building and outdoor wireless network capacity enhancement since 2008.
I recently joined Yale University as a teaching faculty at the Department of Computer Science. I am teaching Python and Data Science for non-STEM students, and also teaching a Senior Project course for CS students.
My general research interests are multimedia, wireless networks, measurement and modeling, network and traffic engineering, machine learning, and data science. My main focus is to design, develop and evaluate novel computing systems that improve the quality of experiences. I am looking at multitude of approaches, including developing algorithms and systems, applying machine learning / data science techniques to networked systems and using multipath transport to explore more network capacity.
I received my M.S. in Computer Science from Yale University and my B.S. in Computer Science from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.
I am interested in helping underserved children and families in the U.S. and worldwide. I work with non-profit organizations to reach out and support people in need. I look forward to collaborating with academia and industries in developing innovative computing systems that could bring people better quality of lives.
